For 2006 and 2007 the VTX1300R received only new paint, including Bright Blue Metallic, Metallic Silver and Candy Black Cherry, and in 2008 it gained the revised, more compact two-into-two exhaust. Otherwise it remained the cast-wheel retro cruiser, with the torquey 1312 cc twin tuned for low and midrange pull and more than 30 Honda accessories to personalise it.
